Write a letter to the editor

Please choose an option.

Letters to the Editor allow you to voice concern or praise about issues facing your community. It is very important that letters are concise and the message is clear and easy to understand.

  1. Keep it short (under 200 words) and to the point, otherwise the message will get lost.
  2. If possible, refer to past articles or editorials in the paper. Quoting a source is a good way to back up your statement. Always make sure that someone who did not read the story you are referring to would understand what you are talking about.
  3. Make sure your statements are accurate.
  4. Check spelling and grammar.
