Montpelier, VT- Vermont Democratic Party Vice Chair Dottie Deans released the following statement after learning that her friend, former Representative Mark Mitchell, had passed away on October 26, 2011.
“I am deeply saddened by the loss of my friend, Mark Mitchell. Mark served in the Vermont House for six years, but his contributions and service to Vermont were decades longer. He was passionate about energy conservation, as he demonstrated by living off the grid in his Barnard home. I will especially miss his engaging sense of humor and caring, creative ideas.
He will be greatly missed and my thoughts and prayers are with his loving wife Sarah, his family, and his many friends.”
