Vermont Democratic Party Chair Releases Statement End of Iraq War
Montpelier, VT- Vermont Democratic Party Chair Jake Perkinson released the following statement in response to the end of the war in Iraq:
“Today, we are grateful that the costly Iraq War is finally over. More the 4,500 American service members lost their lives, another 30,000 were wounded, and the violence wrought immeasurable casualties upon the Iraqi people as well. Vermonters have long advocated for the end of the Iraq War and we look forward to New Year’s Day, when the last of the remaining American troops have left Iraq.”
