Senator Richard "Dick" McCormack of Bethel, Windsor County, Democrat, was born on July 20, 1947, in New York City, New York. He became a resident of present town in 1970. Occupation: retired college instructor, performer. He was educated Hofstra University, bachelor's degree (U.S. History-1970); at Castleton State College, Secondary Education Studies, (1977-78); Vermont Law School, master's degree (cum laude - 2002). He is married to Cindy Metcalf and they have five grown children and six grandchildren between them.
