Field Organizer
The Vermont Democratic Party is looking to hire a team of talented full-time and part-time Field Organizers for the 2026 Coordinated Campaign.​

About the Role
Field Organizers are responsible for spearheading grassroots operations throughout Vermont. They report to the Organizing Director.
Field Organizers must be disciplined professionals who are timely, hardworking, and ready to work long, often irregular hours in fast-paced environments to get the job done, while consistently conveying a professional tone to volunteers, supporters, voters, and colleagues.

This position offers flexibility with a part-time 15-20 hours/week schedule or a full-time schedule, and runs through November 4, 2026.
​
Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):

Drive voter contact goals through canvassing, phone banking, and other voter outreach efforts.

Develop relationships with key leaders and allies from across a variety of constituencies.

Coordinate, train, and develop teams of top-tier lead volunteers and interns.

Work with the VDP team on strategic earned media events.

Fully participate in the staff team by engaging regularly in strategy sessions, trainings, and team meetings.

Other duties as assigned by the Organizing Director.

You have the ability to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends.

You have an up-to-date driver’s license and access to a working vehicle, and are willing to travel frequently.

Qualifications:
-
At least one cycle of organizing experience (preferred, but not required).

Working knowledge of and experience with VAN (preferred, but not required).

Experience with voter contact practices, including knowledge of canvassing and phone banking best practices (preferred, but not required).

Proficiency with computers.

Strong communications and organizational skills.

Experience organizing and executing successful, engaging trainings.
-
Ability to work effectively with regional and local leaders.
-
Highly organized and results-driven, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Strong commitment to Democratic values and political change.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Familiarity with Vermont politics is preferred but not required.
