Representative Kari Dolan of Waitsfield, Washington County, Democrat, has worked for nearly three decades in natural resources management, including manager of the Vermont Clean Water Initiative Program, Vermont coordinator of the National Flood Insurance Program, State River Corridor and Floodplain Manager, and Water Resources Project Manager at the National Wildlife Federation’s Vermont Office. Kari also worked as a hearing officer and utilities analyst at the Vermont Public Utilities Commission. She is an alumna of the University of Vermont Snelling Leadership Institute. Kari’s community activities include four years on the Waitsfield Select Board, many years on the Waitsfield Planning Commission, Mad River Valley Rotary Club member, Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce member, Vermont Alliance for Half-Earth member, and past board member of the Mad River Valley Planning District and the Friends of the Mad River. She also spent many years coaching youth soccer and lacrosse. Kari holds a degree in biology from Princeton University and two masters degrees in science and public policy from the University of California, Berkeley. Kari and her husband, Chach, have two grown children. Avid for the outdoors, Kari uses her free time to squeeze in as much hiking, skiing, paddling, and biking as she can. Kari was first elected to the General Assembly in 2018 and served on the Natural Resources, Fish and Wildlife Committee.
