Bio

Representative Stephanie Jerome is a 5th generation Vermonter born in Burlington and grew up in Mendon. She received a BA in History from University of Vermont and a Masters in Public Policy and Administration from University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Following graduate school she was awarded a two-year Presidential Management Fellowship. Jerome then served as a Policy Analyst in the Office of Space Sciences at NASA Headquarters. After returning to Vermont to raise their family, she and her husband started Visual Learning Systems, a video based K-12 science curriculum publishing company in Brandon.

Over the past twenty years, she has been an active volunteer of many state and local organizations, including Brandon Planning Commission (Vice Chair/Chair), Brandon Area Chamber of Commerce (past President), Brandon Economic Development Committee, UVM Alumni Council (Washington D.C. and Vermont), Vermont Arts Council, Neshobe School, Otter Valley High School, Friends of Otter Valley Music, BKL nordic ski club, Four Winds environmental education and Cancer Advisory Board-UVM Medical Center.

Married to Brian Jerome, PhD, they have three children. She has been a resident of Brandon since 1997.
