Bio
Representative Conor Casey. Growing up in both Ireland and the United States, Conor developed a deep appreciation for workers’ rights and political activism at an early age. He received his BA in Media Arts from Emerson College in Boston and completed his MA in Communications at Dublin City University.
After returning to the States, Conor worked briefly in the office of Senator Ted Kennedy prior to becoming the Political Director of the Vermont State Employees' Association. Conor has served as Executive Director of the Vermont Democratic Party and worked on countless union campaigns on every level. He most recently held organizing roles with the Connecticut Education Association and the Vermont NEA.
Conor is the Executive Director of GunSense Vermont, a non-profit committed to reducing gun violence in the State. He currently chairs Vermont’s Irish American Legislative Caucus.
Conor lives in Montpelier, where he served three terms on the City Council, and is currently a member of the Homelessness Task Force. In his spare time, he enjoys disc golfing and playwriting.
